16 companies, members of ICONIC CLUSTER, participated in the ClusterXChange event in Austria

The ClusterXChange event, Austria, May 21-27 2023, was a real succes. 16 companies members of ICONIC Cluster, together with one cluster and one scale-up organization participated in the ClusterXChange mobility scheme, open to different types of organizations. The program agenda included visit studies, networking, workshop sessions in discussion format, covering four cities: Vienna, Linz, Salzburg and Graz. The aim was to present to those taking part interesting concepts and applications on digitization and sustainability in the fashion industry. Companies were able to access a 900 euro (lump sum) from the European CLOTH (Xchange) project.

The program included meetings at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, WKO – Wirtschaftskammer Österreich, EIT Manufacturing East – Vienna Business Agency’s Expat Center, at the Romanian Embassy in Austria to discuss business opportunities in Austria accessible to Romanian entrepreneurs.

Also, on Wednesday, May 24, the entrepreneurs visited in Linz the Tobacco factory/start-up hub (https://tabakfabrik-linz.at/en) and Start-up hub (softwarepark-hagenberg.com). This the biggest FabLab in Central Europe (Innovations Werkstatt – GRAND GARAGE).
Next, on May 25, the participants were in Salzburg for a visit at the IRE Office – Institute of European Regions (IRE) and finally, on May 26, there was a Study visit in Graz at the Creative Industries Styria cluster.

CLOTH project – CLuster Alliance fOr the Transition to green and digital fasHion – is a new alliance aiming to create a favorable ecosystem of relevant stakeholders, from a cross-sectoral perspective, promoting a greener, smarter and more competitive and innovative European Fashion industry.
The CLOTH project is an integrated cross-sectoral partnership with 5 partners from 5 European countries (Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Denmark and France) working on different value chains: Fashion and Textile, circular economy, creative industry and Digital.
During the EU supported CLOTH Project will be organized minimum 100 short-term exchanges between targeted members of clusters located in other countries.
